Nesberry is related to sapodilla. The fruit has gritty, sweet flesh when ripe. Tree is slow-growing but low-maintenance. Tolerates poor soil and drought once established.

Watering: Moderate. Drought-tolerant when mature. Water during fruit development for better quality.
Soil: Well-draining soil. pH 5.5–7.0. Tolerates sandy and rocky soil. Avoid waterlogging.
Fertilizing: Light feeder. 2–3 applications per year. Balanced or fruit-tree fertilizer.
Pruning: Minimal pruning. Remove dead wood. Shape when young if desired.
