1,200 JMD
Mediterranean oregano for pizza, pasta, grilled meats, and Greek dishes. Flavour intensifies when dried.
Oregano is a perennial that spreads slowly. The flavour is stronger in dried leaves, but fresh is excellent for cooking. Prefers hot, dry conditions similar to its native Mediterranean.

Care Tips
- Sunlight: Full sun (6+ hours). Oregano thrives in bright, hot conditions. Tolerates Jamaica's intense sun.
- Watering: Moderate. Allow top 1–2 inches to dry between waterings. Overwatering leads to weak growth and disease.
- Soil: Well-draining, lean soil. pH 6.0–8.0. Sandy or rocky mix ideal. Rich soil produces less flavourful leaves.
- Fertilizing: Light feeder. Avoid heavy nitrogen. Compost or light feeding once or twice per season.
- Pruning: Pinch tips for bushier growth. Cut back after flowering. Harvest before flowers open for strongest flavour.
Jamaica Climate
Loves Jamaica's heat. Ensure good drainage—especially during rainy season. Can become leggy in very rich soil; lean conditions improve flavour.
